PM Modi to Inaugurate Newly Built Flats for MPs in New Delhi Today, to Plant Sindoor Tree

New Delhi, 11 August (HS) — Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 184 newly constructed Type-7 multi-storey flats for Members of Parliament at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi today. He will also plant a Sindoor tree in the premises and interact with labourers who contributed to the project.

The inauguration ceremony will take place at 10 am in the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs & Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Housing Committee (Lok Sabha) Chairman Dr Mahesh Sharma, several MPs, and other dignitaries.

The residential complex has been designed keeping in mind all essential needs of MPs. Built with green technology, the project meets GRIHA 3-star rating standards and the National Building Code (NBC) 2016. It features advanced construction methods, including aluminium formwork with monolithic concrete, ensuring timely completion.

The complex is also divyang-friendly and provides ample space in each unit for both residential and official use. It includes staff quarters, a community centre, and robust safety measures. All buildings are designed for structural safety and are earthquake-resistant.
