PM Modi to Distribute Over 51,000 Appointment Letters at 19th Employment Fair

New Delhi, May 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth from various government departments and organizations during the 19th Employment Fair on Saturday.

These letters will be distributed via video conferencing, and PM Modi will also address the event.

Since the inception of the Employment Fairs, approximately 1.2 million appointment letters have been issued across 18 fairs held nationwide.

The 19th Employment Fair will take place at 47 locations across the country. Selected candidates from all parts of India will join various ministries and departments of the Government of India, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and the Department of Higher Education, among others.

During the 18th Employment Fair held in January, PM Modi emphasized that connecting youth with skills and providing them with employment and self-employment opportunities has been a priority for the government. The Employment Fair was initiated to streamline government recruitment, and over the past few years, it has become an institution. Through this initiative, millions of young people have received appointment letters in various government departments.

The Prime Minister stated, “Today, India is one of the youngest countries in the world, and the government is continuously working to create new opportunities for youth both domestically and internationally.”

He mentioned that the government is negotiating trade and mobility agreements with several countries, opening countless new opportunities for young Indians. Recently, India has made unprecedented investments in modern infrastructure, leading to increased employment in construction-related sectors.

He also noted that India’s startup ecosystem is rapidly growing, with nearly 200,000 registered startups providing jobs to over 2.1 million youth. The ‘Digital India’ initiative has fostered a new economy, positioning India as a global hub in animation, digital media, and various other sectors.
