New Delhi, October 23 (Daily Kiran) : The Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi has underscored the importance of maintaining peace and stability in border areas between India and China for the overall development of bilateral relations. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that the situation in these regions can be affected when the Chinese military deviates from established patrol protocols.

Jaiswal noted that India and China continue to utilize existing diplomatic and military mechanisms to address outstanding issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and to avoid misunderstandings or miscalculations. He emphasized that ensuring peace and stability in border areas is crucial for the growth of bilateral ties.

Additionally, Jaiswal provided details about External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s visit to Azerbaijan. He reported that Jaishankar met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku on Friday, where they discussed various aspects of bilateral relations.

During the meeting, Jaishankar extended greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of India to President Aliyev.
