Mumbai, 5 January – Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh celebrated his 40th birthday on Monday, with videos of the event quickly going viral on social media. The actor enjoyed the occasion with close friends and a new co-star, sharing moments of joy and celebration.
However, the celebrations also sparked controversy. Pawan Singh has often faced criticism for his behaviour towards his co-stars, with allegations of misconduct surfacing multiple times. Previously, actresses Akshara Singh and Anjali Raghav were involved in such controversies. Once again, on his birthday, he was seen acting in a questionable manner with actress Mahima Singh.
In the viral video, while Mahima Singh feeds Pawan Singh cake, he is seen licking cake off her fingers, which left the actress looking uncomfortable. Despite her unease, Mahima did not respond, likely due to the crowd present.
The video has attracted widespread attention on social media. Recently, Pawan Singh and Mahima Singh released a bold and romantic song titled ‘Bani Laika’. They also have a film together, though its title has not been revealed.
This is not the first instance where Pawan Singh has been accused of inappropriate physical contact without consent. Earlier, during a promotional event in Haryana, dancer Anjali Raghav alleged that he touched her improperly on stage. Anjali later clarified that she initially thought he was adjusting something on her waist but later realised otherwise. Following this incident, she stated she would no longer work in the Bhojpuri film industry.
