Paul Fitzgerald Enjoys Tiger Safari in Ranthambore

Ranthambore, March 16: Paul Fitzgerald, the President of the World Paralympic Committee, along with Rahul Swami, CEO of the Paralympic Committee of India, is on a two-day visit to Ranthambore with their families. Upon their arrival on Sunday, they received a warm welcome from officials of the forest department.

Under the direction of DFO Manas Singh, wildlife expert Parikshit Sharma greeted the guests and guided them on a tiger safari in Ranthambore. During the safari, the officials explored zones two, three, and four, enjoying the playful tigers and the natural beauty, along with the diverse wildlife in Ranthambore.

During the safari, Rahul Swami and Paul Fitzgerald closely observed the dense forests, lakes, and wildlife of Ranthambore, relishing the experience. They praised the natural environment and the wildlife conservation efforts in the area. Notably, they spotted Tiger 2506 in zone four. Both guests described their moments in Ranthambore as memorable and commended the efforts of the forest department.

They expressed that a natural site like Ranthambore offers a unique experience for wildlife enthusiasts. Speaking to the media at a hotel, Rahul Swami noted that India is making significant strides in the Paralympics, with athletes not only winning medals but also increasing their medal counts year after year. He attributed this progress to the central government’s positive approach towards sports, enabling India to host world-class Paralympic competitions.

Swami emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s passion for sports, which is fostering a new generation of athletes across various fields. The Prime Minister’s vision of “Fit India” and “Khelo India” is coming to fruition, encouraging new players from all walks of life to emerge and bring glory to the nation through their achievements. He acknowledged the strong support from the central government for sports initiatives.
