
Patna, March 15: The Patna district administration has confirmed that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders in the district. All distributors and gas companies have sufficient LPG supplies available.
On Saturday, Patna’s District Magistrate, Dr. Tyagarajan S.M., reviewed the LPG gas supply and distribution system with heads of hospitals, educational institutions, representatives from gas companies, and officials. He stated that hospitals and educational institutions are being prioritized for gas supply in the public interest.
To ensure a smooth supply of LPG gas to hospitals and health institutions, the district administration has appointed the Civil Surgeon and District Program Manager (Health) of Patna as the nodal officer and assistant nodal officer, respectively. These officials will ensure the timely supply of LPG gas as per the needs of hospitals and health institutions.
The District Magistrate noted that representatives from various health institutions, including IGIMS, AIIMS, PMCH, NMCH, and ESIC, were present at the meeting. The Civil Surgeon and DPM (Health) have been instructed to maintain constant communication with the heads of hospitals, gas companies’ regional officials, and service providers.
Representatives from educational institutions such as IIT, NIT, Chanakya National Law University, and NIFT also attended the meeting. Detailed discussions were held, and the current status of gas supply was reviewed as per the requirements. The District Magistrate reported that all heads of these institutions confirmed there are no issues related to gas supply.
Regional officials from gas companies also indicated that educational institutions are receiving gas supplies on a priority basis. In the interest of students and institutions, the Additional District Magistrate (Supply) for rural areas and a designated officer for urban areas have been instructed to ensure a smooth gas supply to all educational institutions.
