
Greater Noida, February 12: Police in Bisrakh, Gautam Buddh Nagar, have dismantled an organized gang involved in defrauding individuals under the pretense of securing railway jobs. Three suspects were arrested, and a significant amount of counterfeit materials was seized, including fake joining letters, forged documents, counterfeit rubber stamps, and computer equipment.
According to police reports, the gang tricked a young man into paying approximately 800,000 rupees for a railway job, providing him with a fraudulent joining letter to gain his trust. When the victim grew suspicious of the documents, he filed a complaint at the Bisrakh police station.
Based on the victim’s complaint, a case was registered, and during the investigation, police apprehended two suspects on February 11, 2026, near the railway crossing at Chipiyana Bujurg. The arrested individuals were Ashwani Saraswat (46 years old), a resident of Jaypeuria Society, Crossing Republic, Ghaziabad, and Pawan Chaudhary (30 years old), from village Ruhanla, Aastha City, Sikandra, Agra.
Further inquiries led to the arrest of their accomplice, Akil alias Ayaan (31 years old), from the Shahberi area. The investigation revealed that the gang systematically deceived unemployed youths by promising them railway jobs. They produced fake joining letters, character certificates, medical cards, and other official documents, presenting them as genuine to extract large sums of money.
From the arrested suspects, police recovered two Android mobile phones, one Apple phone, three counterfeit railway rubber stamps, one printer, one CPU, one LED monitor, eight fake joining letters, four forged Aadhaar cards, fifteen fake ticket ID cards, three fake birth certificates, four character certificates, two indemnity bonds, two departmental memos, seven notices, one medical staff card, one challan receipt, and one character certificate, among other documents.
Additionally, a scooter without a registration number was seized and has been impounded under the Motor Vehicles Act.
