Shenzhen, September 22 (Kiran News): Oppo has officially confirmed that it will unveil its next-generation ColorOS 16 at a launch event in Shenzhen on October 15, 2025. The announcement was made on Oppo’s official website, which also revealed that the company’s annual Developer Conference (ODC) will be held alongside the launch.

At the event, Oppo is expected to present its latest AI strategy and provide in-depth insights into ColorOS 16. The conference will feature ten sub-forums, six exhibition areas, and an “inspirational street” for developers and enthusiasts to engage with Oppo’s vision for design and software.

Design Inspired by iOS 26

Oppo has teased the design direction of ColorOS 16, which appears to take inspiration from Apple’s iOS 26 liquid glass interface. However, this design has faced some criticism over readability, making Oppo’s interpretation a point of interest.

First Devices With ColorOS 16

The first smartphones to ship with ColorOS 16 will be the Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, followed by the Find X9s. These devices are powered by the new Dimensity 9500 chipset and introduce the world’s first 1 nit display for advanced eye protection.

Oppo has also equipped the phones with a self-developed P3 display chip, offering 3840Hz PWM dimming, 6900K eye protection color temperature, and certifications from TUV Rheinland and SGS.

The Find X9 series is set to launch in China on October 16, a day after the ColorOS 16 unveiling, with a global launch expected on October 28.
