Beijing, March 2: OnePlus has started teasing its upcoming flagship device, the OnePlus 15T, in China. In a recent Weibo post, Li Jie, the President of OnePlus China, confirmed that the device will feature significant upgrades, particularly in its imaging system. Here’s what the OnePlus executive revealed.

OnePlus 15T: Key Upgrades Confirmed

Li Jie announced that the OnePlus 15T will include a new LUMO periscope telephoto lens, promising substantial enhancements in both hardware and image processing. The company claims that users will experience notable improvements in clarity for distant subjects, along with enhanced portrait depth and atmosphere.

Reports indicate that the device may come equipped with a 50-megapixel periscope camera, featuring an 85mm focal length equivalent to 3.5x optical zoom, an F2.8 aperture, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support. Camera samples have surfaced, showcasing the capabilities of the phone’s periscope camera.

Li Jie also mentioned that the battery capacity, cooling system, and periscope setup have all been significantly upgraded, while maintaining a slim profile. The phone is designed to feel lightweight and comfortable in hand.

According to reports, the OnePlus 15T will boast a massive battery capacity ranging from 7,000 to 7,500mAh. It is expected to measure 8.5mm in thickness and weigh approximately 194 grams.

Rumored Specifications of OnePlus 15T

The OnePlus 15T is anticipated to feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K 165Hz OLED display, complete with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It may also include a dedicated P3 display chip and an advanced gaming engine for enhanced performance.

The rear camera setup could feature either a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 or a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 primary camera, alongside a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto lens, though it may lack an ultra-wide sensor. A 32-megapixel front camera is also expected. Additional features include a Plus Key, ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, and an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance. The device is likely to be available in three colors: Relaxing Matcha, Healing White Chocolate, and Pure Cocoa.
