Guwahati, August 10: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is set to conduct several awareness programs as part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. These initiatives will take place at railway stations, offices, and various locations to promote patriotism and encourage public participation in the campaign.
NFR’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Kapilanjal Kishore Sharma, announced that the campaign will run from August 13 to August 17. This initiative aligns with the central government’s effort to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes and foster a personal and emotional connection with the tricolor.
Launched in 2022 during the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign aims to inspire citizens to celebrate patriotism and national unity, encouraging them to proudly display the national flag at their residences.
Sharma emphasized that NFR celebrates the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with great enthusiasm each year, promoting a spirit of patriotism and encouraging active public participation. Continuing this tradition, NFR will conduct the campaign within its jurisdiction this year as well.
The CPRO stated that railway officials and employees will be encouraged to actively participate in the campaign. They will also be asked to inspire their families and the general public to proudly hoist the national flag at their homes during this period.
Flag-hoisting ceremonies will be organized at railway offices and establishments, while major railway stations and other significant railway complexes will be illuminated in the colors of the national flag as a symbol of national pride.
Sharma noted that instrumental renditions of the national song ‘Vande Mataram‘ will be played through public address systems at key railway stations, along with appropriate patriotic programs to foster unity and nationalism.
Officials, employees, and the public will also be encouraged to upload their ‘selfies with the tricolor’ as a symbol of participation in this nationwide campaign.
The aim of these initiatives is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, national pride, and unity, while encouraging everyone to celebrate the tricolor with respect, dignity, and pride.
Sharma reiterated that the campaign’s goal is to enhance the sense of patriotism, national pride, and unity among citizens, urging all to celebrate the tricolor with honor and pride.
