Noida Police from Sector-113 station have made a significant breakthrough by arresting two skilled accused involved in a series of mobile phone snatching cases. The police recovered a total of 23 stolen mobile phones along with two motorcycles used during the crimes.
The operation took place on January 29, 2026, with the help of local intelligence and electronic surveillance. The arrested individuals have been identified as Irshad alias Mitchu, son of Idrish, and Zulfaam, son of Nooruddin. Both were apprehended in the Sector-123 area.
During the arrest, the police seized a KTM Duke motorcycle and a Bajaj Pulsar N-250 motorcycle, both without number plates. Irshad, approximately 27 years old, is a resident of Premnagar, Loni police station area in Ghaziabad, and has studied up to class five. Zulfaam, about 26 years old, hails from Ikramnagar locality, Loni police station area, Ghaziabad, and has education up to class six.
Both accused have been involved in mobile snatching for a long time, targeting pedestrians in crowded areas. Investigations revealed that they have prior criminal records. Irshad faces several serious charges, including robbery under BNS sections, registered in Ghaziabad and Delhi. Similarly, Zulfaam has multiple cases against him under the Arms Act and BNS sections in Delhi and Noida.
Despite previous arrests, the duo continued their criminal activities. According to the Sector-113 police, the recovered mobile phones are linked to various snatching and theft cases registered across different police stations. The police have begun the process of identifying the rightful owners to return the stolen phones.
Further interrogation of the accused is underway to uncover other members involved in the gang.
