Raiganj, April 19: Nitin Naveen, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government during a recent rally in West Bengal. He emphasized that this election represents a “now or never” moment for the state.
During a roadshow in Raiganj, Naveen congratulated the people of Bengal on the arrival of the new year. He expressed optimism that a new wave of enthusiasm would sweep through the lives of West Bengal’s residents. He predicted that May 4 would mark a new dawn for the state.
Naveen addressed the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators, asserting that they would remain fearful as the BJP would not allow the people of West Bengal to lose their rights. He warned that these infiltrators, even those within the TMC, are anxious about the BJP’s potential return to power, which could lead to their expulsion from the state and the country.
Commenting on the failure to pass the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha, Naveen criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for undermining women’s rights despite being a female leader. He claimed that the women of West Bengal—mothers and sisters—would ensure the TMC is ousted from power in this election.
He urged Banerjee to reflect on her administration’s negligence, particularly regarding the injustices faced by women in the state. He highlighted her lack of action when local daughters were harmed, contrasting this with her willingness to advocate for infiltrators from Bangladesh. Naveen asserted that the people of Bengal are determined to teach the TMC a lesson.
Nitin Naveen concluded by stating that the citizens of West Bengal are united against the TMC government. After five years of suffering, the public is now taking to the streets, resolved to bring about change and establish a government focused on good governance on May 4.
