Mumbai, April 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed multiple rallies and election meetings in West Bengal on Sunday, energizing the political landscape ahead of the elections.
During a rally in West Midnapore, a massive crowd gathered to hear PM Modi speak. The enthusiasm among BJP candidates in the region is palpable. They believe that the Prime Minister’s presence will translate into votes on election day. The sentiment is that change is on the horizon, not just in Midnapore but across West Bengal.
BJP candidate Shankar Kumar expressed confidence in an interview, stating, “We have received the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Midnapore is the land of Vidyasagar and Khudiram Bose. His visit has sparked tremendous enthusiasm among the people. The strong connection between the Prime Minister and the public ensures our victory. The crowd at the rally was overwhelming, and the atmosphere in every alley supports the BJP, so our win is certain.”
Another candidate, Rama Prasad Giri, emphasized the commitment to development in Midnapore, asserting that the people of West Bengal have rejected Mamata Banerjee. He added, “Illegal immigrants will have to leave.”
Candidate Bhadra Hemram noted the warm welcome PM Modi received in West Midnapore. “We aim to secure victories in all 12 assembly seats to strengthen Modi’s position,” he stated.
Dilip Ghosh, another BJP candidate, assured that the Prime Minister’s promises would be fulfilled. “The central government has accomplished much in the past decade, and what remains will be completed. The entire nation stands with PM Modi, and the people of Bengal trust him,” he said.
Laxmikant Sahu highlighted the disrespect shown to President Droupadi Murmu by CM Mamata Banerjee and the TMC, stating, “This is not just an insult to the tribal community but also to the first citizen of India. As a woman, this is an affront to women’s empowerment. The public will respond in the elections.”
