New Delhi, March 8: Pappu Yadav, the MP from Purnia, expressed confidence in Nishant Kumar’s ability to uphold Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s political legacy as he prepares to join the Janata Dal (United) or JD(U). Yadav emphasized that the focus remains on the people of Bihar. He believes that if Nishant enters politics, he will unify the JD(U) and maintain the legacy of his father, Nitish Kumar.
Yadav stated that Nishant’s inclusion in the party leadership should have happened much earlier. He noted that the issue is not about JD(U) or its workers but about the unwavering trust the people of Bihar have in Nitish Kumar. He remarked that a hasty decision or leaving Bihar is not what the people would prefer. Nitish Kumar continues to be a popular choice among the citizens of Bihar.
“Nishant Kumar may be late to the scene, but he has arrived at the right time,” Yadav added. He expressed hope that the JD(U) workers and the community that has faith in the party will support Nishant in preserving Nitish Kumar’s political legacy.
Nishant Kumar is set to officially join JD(U) this Sunday. Supporters have already adorned the streets of Patna with posters celebrating his entry. Security arrangements have been made at the JD(U) office for the occasion. Nishant is expected to join the party at 1 PM, with senior leaders, including the party’s national executive president Sanjay Jha, in attendance.
Speculation about Nishant’s entry into JD(U) has been ongoing for quite some time. On Saturday, Sanjay Jha announced that during a legislative assembly meeting held in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the demand to bring Nishant into politics was accepted. Nishant will officially join JD(U) on Sunday and will begin working for the party the following day.
