
Mumbai, April 18: Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, has received a significant honor for his film “Hamar Naam Ba Kanhaiya.” The film won the Best Feature Film and Best Direction awards at the Indian National Cinema Academy (INCA) Awards.
The actor shared his joy with fans on Saturday, posting photos and videos from the award ceremony on Instagram. One image showcased the gleaming award, while another featured him smiling with his entire team, proudly holding the trophy.
Expressing his happiness, he wrote, “Our film ‘Hamar Naam Ba Kanhaiya’ has won the Best Feature Film and Best Direction awards. Heartfelt congratulations to the entire team. Their hard work, dedication, and creativity made this success possible. This honor belongs to everyone who believed in this story and brought it beautifully to the screen.”
He also expressed hope for more successes in the future and extended special thanks to the INCA Awards organizers, stating, “We feel very grateful and honored.”
The film presents a fresh and unique narrative in Bhojpuri cinema, featuring Nirahua in the lead role. Director Vishal Verma also received the Best Director award. The entire team is elated with this achievement.
“Hamar Naam Ba Kanhaiya” is a much-discussed Bhojpuri suspense-thriller that premiered in theaters on July 4, 2025. Produced by Giriraj Production House, the film revolves around a security guard involved in a bank robbery. It is described as a dark comedy thriller, setting itself apart from traditional Bhojpuri films.
The cast includes Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua), Sanjay Pandey, Samar Katyayan, Ayaz Khan, Mukteshwar Ojha, Rajesh Tomar, and Amrita Pal. The film was produced by Mukesh Giri Rinku and directed by Vishal Verma.
