New Road Transforms Lives in Tripuras Sipahijala District

Mumbai, March 26: A newly constructed road in Sipahijala district, Tripura, has significantly improved the lives of residents in nearby villages. On Thursday, locals expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Tripura government, and the central government for this development.

Previously, the road was in poor condition, leading to daily accidents due to potholes and rough terrain. Residents faced considerable challenges traveling to and from Melaghar market. However, the situation has transformed with the new road.

The new infrastructure connects approximately five to six villages directly to the city, providing convenience for many families in their daily lives. The construction of the road cost around 60 million rupees.

Local residents believe that such development initiatives are bringing positive changes to rural areas. Improved roads not only reduce accidents but also boost economic activities. Easier access to Melaghar market benefits farmers and small traders alike.

Mijanur Rahman, a local resident, stated, “My home is nearby. This road has been very beneficial for us. It connects at least four to five villages. I would like to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Tripura government, and the Indian government on behalf of all of us. The road was previously in terrible condition, and we lived in fear of accidents every day. Now, the quality of the road is excellent.”

Another resident, Gautam Ghosh, noted, “The road was in bad shape for a long time. Now that it is built, people from Melaghar and three to four nearby villages have greatly benefited. Melaghar has the main market, so communication between the villages and the city has improved significantly. People are very happy now.”

According to residents, the construction of this road has completely enhanced transportation. Travel by car, bike, or other vehicles is now easier and safer. This road, built under the ‘Circuit Project,’ is of excellent quality.

The efforts of the Tripura government are being highly praised at the local level. People are hopeful that such development projects will continue in the future, strengthening the connection of remote villages to the mainstream.
