Patna, April 15: Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi congratulated Bihar’s new Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, expressing hope that he will not only maintain but also advance the development legacy established by former CM Nitish Kumar.
In a media interaction in Patna, Manjhi stated, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to CM Samrat Chaudhary. He is young, and it is fortunate for Bihar that he will lead the state. I am confident that he will elevate Bihar to new heights of development.”
Responding to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks, Manjhi asserted that there has been no disrespect towards Nitish Kumar. He noted that Kumar voluntarily decided to step down from his position in the Rajya Sabha.
He emphasized that Bihar will continue to operate under Nitish Kumar’s guidance, highlighting Kumar’s two-decade tenure as CM and his voluntary relinquishment of power as a commendable tradition.
Senior BJP leader Dilip Jaiswal congratulated Samrat Chaudhary, expressing confidence that under his capable leadership and visionary outlook, Bihar will set new benchmarks for development, good governance, and prosperity. He noted that the aspirations of the state’s citizens will gain new momentum.
Bihar BJP Chief Sanjay Sarawagi also expressed his belief that under Chaudhary’s leadership, Bihar will establish new records in development, good governance, and public welfare. He assured that the new government is committed to effective policy-making, clear priorities, and results-oriented governance, aiming to make the administrative system more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric.
After taking the oath as Deputy CM, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary remarked that it is a result of Nitish Kumar’s trust that he has been entrusted with this responsibility. He pledged to diligently follow Kumar’s path, policies, programs, and working style. “We will strive to elevate Bihar to new heights while continuing the development model established by Nitish Kumar. Various parties have participated in this model, and we will continue to work in that direction with everyone’s cooperation,” he stated.
He added that it is evident that Nitish Kumar’s vision and approach are unique, and they have learned a great deal from him. “Our goal is clear: to strengthen the path of good governance, development, and public welfare that has given Bihar a new identity,” he concluded.
