The process for MBBS and BDS admissions under NEET UG 2025 is ongoing across the country. The results for the first round of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 were declared on August 12, and the reporting process for students started from August 14, continuing for six days. Following this, institutes are currently verifying the candidates. Now, all eyes are on the start of the second round of counselling.

According to recent updates, the second round of NEET UG 2025 counselling is expected to commence from August 22, 2025. Students will be able to register online by visiting the official website, mcc.nic.in.

Who Can Participate in NEET UG Round 2 Counselling?

  • Candidates who did not secure a seat in the first round or whose seats were cancelled during verification.

  • Candidates who have opted for an upgrade.

  • Candidates who were allotted a seat but did not join.

  • Candidates who surrendered their seat within the stipulated time.

For these candidates, registration and payment of fees is required if they are participating for the first time in Round 2. However, those already registered do not need to register again.

NEET UG Counselling 2025: Complete Process

  1. Registration: New candidates must register on the MCC portal and pay the necessary fees.

  2. Choice Filling: Choose preferred colleges and courses as per your eligibility and interest.

  3. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted according to rank, choice, and reservation rules.

  4. Result: The allotment result will be released on the MCC website.

  5. Physical Reporting: Candidates must report to the allotted college with all original documents and fees.

  6. Upgrade Option: Candidates can opt for an upgrade in subsequent rounds if desired.
