
New Delhi, May 15: In response to the NEET UG re-examination, ministers from both the central and state governments have emphasized their commitment to protecting students’ interests and ensuring a transparent examination process. Uttar Pradesh Minister Danish Azad Ansari stated that conducting fair and transparent exams is a priority for the Modi government.
Speaking to reporters, Ansari remarked, “The government is implementing transparent systems to prevent any discrimination against youth. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the central government is ensuring that students participating in the examination do not face any crises regarding their future.”
He added that the government’s goal is to empower the aspirations of the youth and provide them with better opportunities.
Regarding the cancellation of the NEET exam, Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal expressed concern for the future of over 2.2 million students. He stated, “This date was set to ensure that their exams are conducted as soon as possible. We are committed to ensuring that students do not face any further difficulties; this is the main objective of the government.”
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the NEET (UG) 2026 examination will be re-conducted, with the new date set for June 21, 2026. This decision was made following approval from the Government of India.
Following this announcement, over 2.2 million students have received a sense of relief after a period of uncertainty. The NTA has urged students and parents to rely solely on official information and to avoid any rumors. To facilitate this, the agency has released its official website and contact numbers to prevent misinformation.
On Friday, the NTA shared on its official social media account that the NEET (UG) 2026 exam date has been announced. “The National Testing Agency has decided to conduct the NEET (UG) 2026 examination again on Sunday, June 21, with the approval of the Government of India,” the post stated.
