Patna, March 14: The NDA is gearing up for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Bihar with strong preparations underway. Umesh Kushwaha, the state president of JDU, claimed in a conversation that victory is assured for all five NDA seats. He stated, “Our win is guaranteed. We have held meetings with the legislators, including all state presidents. We discussed strategies, but details cannot be shared yet. Information will be provided to everyone tomorrow.”
He added that the opposition is rattled by the NDA’s unity. “No matter what the opposition does, the NDA will win the elections. Our victory is 100 percent assured.” JDU legislator Manjeet Singh also confirmed that the NDA will win all five seats without any doubt. “We have sufficient majority and votes,” he asserted.
Bihar government minister Shrawan Kumar mentioned that the meeting focused on voting strategies. Voting is scheduled from 9 AM to 4 PM on Tuesday. An event is planned at the residence of NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha, where all legislators will gather.
JDU legislator Komal Singh noted that there is a meeting of NDA legislators today, along with a separate meeting at Upendra Kushwaha’s home to discuss various topics.
BJP legislator Maithili Thakur emphasized the importance of first-time voters among the legislators. He remarked that many new legislators are participating in the Rajya Sabha elections, and the voting process is being explained to them. “This is a routine follow-up. A similar meeting took place two days ago at Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary’s office. We must vote carefully to avoid any mistakes.”
Minister Santosh Kumar Suman referred to the meeting called by Upendra Kushwaha, stating, “We are all gathering, and discussions will take place. Regardless of what the opposition says, we know the NDA will win all five seats.”
Additionally, JDU legislator Hari Narayan Singh and BJP legislator Ratnesh Kushwaha expressed confidence in the victory of NDA candidates.
In Bihar, five Rajya Sabha seats are becoming vacant, with NDA candidates including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Nitin Naveen, Ramnath Thakur, Shivesh Kumar, and Upendra Kushwaha (RLM). The NDA holds a strong majority in the assembly, but there is a focus on strategizing to gather additional support for the fifth seat. The opposition coalition is also in the fray, but NDA leaders are claiming a complete victory based on unity and mathematical strength.
