NCPs Naseem Siddiqui Urges Congress to Collaborate Effectively in Uttar Pradesh

Mumbai, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Naseem Siddiqui, the national spokesperson for the Sharad Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), delivered a strong message to the Congress party regarding its role in the INDIA alliance. Speaking in Mumbai, he emphasized the shared goal of defeating the BJP, urging Congress to demonstrate leadership and inclusivity as a major party.

Siddiqui criticized the ongoing changes within the Uttar Pradesh Congress, labeling them as ineffective experiments. He stressed the importance of unity among the alliance partners, stating that each party should field candidates where they are strongest to avoid conflicts.

He pointed out that Congress has a crucial role to play, especially if there is a change in government. According to Siddiqui, if the government changes, it is likely that the Prime Minister will emerge from Congress. He suggested that Congress should learn from the BJP’s strategies, citing how Narendra Modi manages alliances effectively, even appointing ministers from smaller parties to maintain control.

The NCP spokesperson highlighted that it is the responsibility of Congress to consult with its allies, ensuring that no conflicts arise. Failure to do so could weaken their partners in the states and jeopardize Congress’s aspirations for a Prime Ministerial position.

Regarding the changes in Uttar Pradesh’s Congress structure, Siddiqui expressed skepticism about their effectiveness. He urged Congress to recognize Akhilesh Yadav as a key leader and to collaborate closely with him for the upcoming elections. Without this cooperation, he warned that Congress risks losing its remaining influence in the state.

Siddiqui also addressed comments made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath concerning O.P. Rajbhar, questioning the legitimacy of Adityanath’s educational credentials before critiquing others.

In a separate discussion, he praised Captain Smith Machhar for saving 180 Israeli lives during a flight incident, advocating for national recognition of his heroism rather than politicizing the matter. He accused Israel of using the situation for electoral gain ahead of its upcoming elections in 2027.

Siddiqui concluded by stating that the investigation into the incident should proceed without political interference, allowing the truth to emerge regarding the circumstances surrounding it.
