Nadin de Klerk Ranks Second with 8 Wickets in First 3 WPL Matches

Navi Mumbai, 12 January: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fast bowler Nadin de Klerk has taken 8 wickets in her Women’s Premier League (WPL) career so far. With this performance, she has secured the second position for the most wickets taken in the first three matches of a WPL career.

De Klerk has bowled 72 deliveries across three matches, conceding 89 runs at an average of 11.12 while claiming 8 wickets. Leading this list is Saika Ishaque, who took 9 wickets in her first three WPL games. Nandini Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone share the third spot with 7 wickets each.

Nandini Sharma, representing Delhi Capitals, achieved a hat-trick against Gujarat Giants on 11 January. Having played only two WPL matches so far, she has a golden opportunity to climb to the top spot in this list.

In the same match, Delhi Capitals batted first after losing the toss at DY Patil Sports Academy and scored 205 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted overs. Opening partners Shafali Verma and Lizelle Lee provided a strong start by putting on 41 runs in 5.1 overs. Shafali was dismissed after scoring 14 runs.

Following this, Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt added 90 runs for the second wicket off 55 deliveries, taking the team’s score to 131.
