Mukesh Sahnis Controversial Remarks on Chief Election Commissioner
Mukesh Sahni criticized Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, calling for accountability in the electoral process during a recent press conference.

Patna, September 24 (Daily Kiran) : Mukesh Sahni, the leader of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), has made headlines with his recent comments regarding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Speaking to reporters in Patna, Sahni provocatively stated, “If I were allowed to kill one person, I would shoot Gyanesh Kumar.”
Sahni accused the Prime Minister of undermining democracy and violating the Constitution established by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He expressed concern that the will of the 1.4 billion citizens is being disregarded. “Elections are not for leaders; they are for the people. The public has the power to remove leaders who fail to deliver,” he asserted.
He further alleged that the government manipulated elections by deploying the army in West Bengal and by distributing money to sway votes in Bihar. “The Election Commission has become an arm of the BJP,” he claimed. Sahni urged Gyanesh Kumar to reflect on the ongoing constitutional violations, adding, “If I were allowed to kill someone, it would be him, but we respect the Constitution.”
Sahni predicted that by 2029, under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, a new government would emerge, and those currently in power would face consequences. He questioned the necessity of holding elections when the process appears compromised, suggesting that the public deserves clarity on these issues.
His remarks come amid reports that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi have raised objections multiple times regarding voter registration processes and related decisions over the past ten months. The Election Commission, however, maintains that all decisions, including those related to the SIR process, are made unanimously by all three commissioners.
