New Town, September 2: West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh expressed strong concerns on Wednesday regarding alleged irregularities in hotels and restaurants across the state. He addressed issues ranging from unlicensed operations to the destruction of temples in Pakistan, criticizing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Abhishek Banerjee in the process.
Ghosh stated that numerous establishments in West Bengal are reportedly operating without the necessary permits and licenses. He pointed out accusations of encroachment on government land and noted that some businesses lack even basic fire safety licenses.
He raised questions about compliance with food safety and health regulations, mentioning ongoing complaints about the quality of food served in restaurants, particularly serious allegations regarding spoiled meat. Ghosh confirmed that police have initiated raids, and he anticipates improvements in the situation following these actions.
On the topic of a purportedly edited group photo shared by the Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan, which excluded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ghosh criticized Pakistan for its deceptive tactics. He described these actions as fraudulent and cunning, asserting that such behavior only tarnishes Pakistan’s own image without affecting India.
Commenting on Shehbaz Sharif, Ghosh remarked that the Prime Minister has led his country into a dire state. He took a jab at the comparisons made between Sharif and Modi, suggesting that Sharif should focus on improving Pakistan’s conditions instead. Ghosh claimed that the people of Pakistan are also expressing dissatisfaction with their Prime Minister.
Regarding the ongoing legal action against Abhishek Banerjee, Ghosh advised him to present his statement in court, clarifying that the final decision rests with the judiciary.
In response to reports of temple destruction in Pakistan, Ghosh stated that if Pakistan were to follow the right path, it could enhance its international reputation and overcome its economic crisis. He accused Pakistan of persecuting religious minorities, damaging temples, and destroying idols. Ghosh emphasized that Pakistan should prioritize its development and economic improvement over actions against other religions.
