Mumbai, May 25: Veteran actress Meenakshi Seshadri is set to return to the world of acting. On Monday, she expressed her gratitude to fans and shared her desire to work with filmmakers through social media.
In an emotional video posted on Instagram, Seshadri stated, “I sincerely thank all of you for your love, encouragement, and unwavering support. After a 30-year journey, I have returned to my roots in Mumbai. I am stepping back into the entertainment industry with hope, passion, and a positive mindset.”
During the conversation, she clarified that she is now looking for good and meaningful opportunities. Discussing her preferences for roles, she mentioned, “Whether it’s a lead role, a supporting character, or even a small part, what matters most to me is that it is impactful. I want to portray characters in films or OTT shows that challenge me as an artist.”
Seshadri revealed that while she has received several offers, none stood out, and some discussions did not progress. Notably, she is currently exploring new opportunities independently, without the support of a PR or talent agency. She added, “Your support and companionship mean a lot to me during this time. Although my base is in India, I often travel to the U.S. for vacations with my family and occasionally visit other places.”
She concluded with a heartfelt message, saying, “Dear friends, I am not here to prove anything to anyone. I am simply doing what brings me joy, supported by my family’s love and encouragement. I request all my well-wishers to continue showering me with love and support, share your opinions, and motivate me. Your trust and blessings inspire me to move forward every day.”
