Ghaziabad, February 16: A significant fire broke out in the industrial area of Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, causing widespread panic on Monday. The Sahibabad Fire Station received reports of the blaze around noon, affecting the Charan Autotech and Bharat Oil factories. The fire department quickly initiated rescue operations.

Initially, two fire tenders were dispatched from Sahibabad Fire Station to the scene. Additionally, three fire tenders led by the Chief Fire Officer from the Vaishali Fire Station were sent to assist. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the flames had rapidly spread across both factories, with thick black smoke visible from a distance. The intensity of the fire created a chaotic atmosphere in the surrounding area.

Recognizing the severity of the situation, the Chief Fire Officer ordered additional fire vehicles to the site. Fire tenders from Kotwali (3), Modinagar (1), Loni (2), Hapur (1), and Gautam Buddha Nagar (1) were deployed, totaling ten fire vehicles working together to control the blaze.

Reports indicate that the Charan Autotech factory produced motorcycle auto parts. The fire caused the factory’s tin shed to collapse, burying a large quantity of auto parts underneath. The front of the factory was also heavily stocked with plastic, thermocol, and packaging materials, which exacerbated the fire’s spread.

Meanwhile, the nearby Bharat Oil factory also began to catch fire, but firefighters managed to contain it in the early stages. The fire department team deployed hoses in three directions, continuously spraying water. After several hours of hard work, they successfully extinguished the flames. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from this devastating incident. However, significant economic losses for the factory are anticipated.

Thanks to the fire department’s vigilance and prompt action, a major disaster was averted, protecting nearby factories and residential areas. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
