According to police reports, Ramdev Lohra hails from Bingada village in Latehar district and has been actively involved in the organization. Both Lohra and Nayak held significant positions within JJMP.
Initial investigations reveal that following the arrest of JJMP chief Ramdev Uraan, there were plans to reactivate and expand the organization in the Gumla area. The arrested militants had traveled from Latehar to Gumla with this objective.
During the operation, police seized a large cache of weapons and other materials. The recovered arms include an AK-56 rifle with a magazine, an SLR rifle with a magazine, and a semi-automatic rifle. Additionally, live cartridges for the AK-47, SLR, and semi-automatic rifles were also found. Authorities confiscated a walkie-talkie, eight mobile phones, a Wi-Fi dongle, and pamphlets related to the banned JJMP and Maoist organizations.
Police officials stated that they are currently interrogating the arrested militants. The information gathered will help uncover the JJMP network, identify other members associated with the organization, and shed light on their activities in Gumla and surrounding areas.
Authorities believe that this operation has dealt a significant blow to the JJMP’s attempts to reactivate and expand its influence in Gumla.
