Bhopal, June 15: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that prominent pilgrimage sites in the state will be included in the Chief Minister‘s Pilgrimage Scheme.
During a review meeting of the activities and programs under the Culture Department, Chief Minister Yadav stated that in addition to famous temples and holy places outside the state, two Jyotirlingas, active and wish-fulfilling Shakti Peeths, and other religious sites within the state will now be part of the scheme.
Yadav mentioned that in the upcoming six to seven months, major festivals, cultural events, and fairs will be celebrated. These occasions symbolize our religious beliefs and gratitude towards nature. The Culture Department will organize large events that connect all communities with their beliefs and cultural traditions. Events commemorating the valor of Alha-Udal will also be held, along with celebrations for the Shravan Festival and Bhujaria Festival. On Nag Panchami, a message for biodiversity conservation, particularly for snake species, will be conveyed.
He directed the Culture Department to organize events that not only promote our art and culture but also spread the government’s message.
Chief Minister Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh‘s art, culture, traditions, and rich archaeological heritage are invaluable assets that we must protect and enhance. He instructed officials to make planned and effective efforts to establish the state’s cultural identity on national and international platforms. Yadav highlighted that the government is making every necessary effort for the cultural upliftment of the state, moving forward with the community’s support.
