Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Meets Singapore Prime Minister to Discuss Partnership Opportunities

Singapore, June 15: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Monday to discuss collaboration in technology, semiconductors, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and university research.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence and lasted for 30 minutes. According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Naidu sought support from Singapore for developing a semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and capacity building.

He also requested collaboration in urban administration for Amaravati and other urban areas in the state. Naidu shared on the social media platform X that they discussed new partnership opportunities between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh.

Topics included semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, research and development, university partnerships, urban administration, leadership development, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.

Naidu informed Wong about the progress made in developing Amaravati as a global standard capital with world-class infrastructure and institutions. Wong appreciated this vision and expressed confidence in its future potential.

They explored collaboration possibilities in natural farming, fisheries, food exports, healthcare, clean energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia. The Chief Minister invited Singapore’s government companies and industry leaders to partner with Andhra Pradesh in its development, contributing to a future driven by innovation, sustainability, and economic opportunities.

Naidu also provided insights into crop cultivation using natural farming methods in Andhra Pradesh. He reviewed the potential for importing horticultural and fishery products from the state, emphasizing ongoing efforts to ensure certification and traceability of products grown through natural farming.

He proposed that Andhra Pradesh and Singapore work together to leverage various opportunities, including the development of ports and airports.
