Bhopal, March 19: In a significant move, the Madhya Pradesh government has extended a helping hand to the families of police personnel who lost their lives in tragic incidents. Under the Police Salary Package Scheme, each family is receiving a financial aid of one crore rupees.
These initiatives by the Madhya Pradesh Police aim to support the welfare of their officers and staff during challenging times. Families of the deceased police officers from incidents in Barwani and Morena have been granted this insurance amount through the Indian State Bank’s Police Salary Package Scheme.
For instance, following the untimely death of constable Jayesh Verma in an accident, his designated beneficiary received one crore rupees as accidental death insurance due to his salary account being linked to the Police Salary Package Scheme at the Anjad branch of the State Bank of India.
The Superintendent of Police, Padmavilochan Shukla, personally handed over the cheque to the bereaved family. Previously, in a tragic road accident in Sagar district, families of police personnel from the BDDS team, including constables Pradyumna Dixit and Anil Kaurav from Morena, also received one crore rupees each under the SBI Police Salary Package Scheme.
Superintendent of Police Samir Saurabh presented the cheques to these families. It has been reported that the Madhya Pradesh Police provides numerous financial benefits to all personnel through the Police Salary Package accounts. These benefits include one crore rupees in accidental death insurance, special interest rates on home loans, free debit cards, and additional financial security for families.
