Bhopal, July 1: The Congress unit in Madhya Pradesh is expressing dissatisfaction with news channels. As a result, the party has decided that its spokespersons will refrain from participating in any news channel debates for three days. This move is essentially a silent protest by the Congress. Meanwhile, the party will hold press conferences addressed by its leaders.
Sanjay Kamle, the party’s general secretary in charge of the organization, issued a statement highlighting the widespread public discussion regarding the land scam case. Many citizens have raised facts, documents, and questions on social media. Unfortunately, most electronic media outlets in the state have failed to broadcast this serious issue or organize meaningful TV debates reflecting public sentiment.
The Congress believes there is an attempt to divert public attention from critical issues, hindering the effective dissemination of important information to the people of the state. To protest this and to register their dissent democratically, the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to conduct a ‘silent protest’ for the next three days.
The general secretary stated that during this period, no authorized leader, spokesperson, or representative of the Madhya Pradesh Congress will participate in any TV debates, provide personal official statements to electronic media, or engage in any television discussions. While the party is boycotting TV debates, it will prominently raise issues such as irregularities in NEET and CBSE exams, farmers’ problems, alleged irregularities in donations at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, corruption in Ujjain Mahakal Lok construction projects, and the land scam case.
Senior Congress leaders will address press conferences at designated divisional headquarters according to a set schedule. Additionally, on July 3, press conferences will be held at all district headquarters, featuring joint appearances by district Congress presidents and district in-charges.
