DMK Womens Wing to Protest Against Deteriorating Law and Order in Tamil Nadu

The DMK Womens Wing plans a statewide protest on October 31, addressing rising crime and public safety concerns in Tamil Nadu.

Chennai, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : The DMK Women’s Wing is set to stage protests across Tamil Nadu on October 31, highlighting concerns over the state’s declining law and order situation. Party leader M.K. Stalin has criticized the ruling TVK government for its handling of recent violent incidents, including murders and missing children cases.

In announcing the protests, Stalin accused the government of failing to instill fear of the law among criminals. He expressed that offenders are operating with increasing impunity and questioned Chief Minister Vijay’s silence on the issue.

Stalin pointed to alarming events in Salem, Madurai, and Jinji as evidence of growing insecurity among the public. He recounted a recent daylight murder in Salem, the discovery of a missing boy’s body in Madurai, and the ongoing search for a missing girl from Jinji.

He emphasized that crime in Tamil Nadu is becoming more horrific than scenes depicted in video games and horror films. According to Stalin, the current government has emboldened criminals, allowing them to act without restraint.

He stated, “Under TVK’s rule, criminals seem to operate as if they have been granted a free pass.” Furthermore, he claimed that daily murders are now being counted in Tamil Nadu, holding the government accountable for the resulting public anxiety.

Targeting the Chief Minister, Stalin questioned why Vijay remains silent on such critical issues of law and order, suggesting that he is indifferent to the situation. He also noted the contrast with the Chief Minister’s previous vocal stance on law and order matters.

The upcoming protests, led by the DMK Women’s Wing, will focus on condemning the current state of affairs. The party has made the incidents in Salem, Madurai, and Jinji central to its campaign against the government.

Stalin has demanded a response from the Chief Minister regarding these incidents and the implications for public safety.
