LSG Fans Disappointed as Team Falls Short Against Gujarat Titans

Lucknow, April 12: In the 19th match of IPL 2026, the Gujarat Titans (GT) delivered an impressive performance, defeating the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 7 wickets on Sunday. Fans at the Ekana Cricket Stadium expressed their dissatisfaction following LSG’s loss, stating that the team’s performance did not meet their expectations.

Gaurav Pandey, who traveled from Pratapgarh to support LSG, shared his thoughts, saying, “The team’s performance was not what we hoped for.” He noted that the batting lineup was disappointing, contributing to a low score that ultimately cost the team. “If LSG had scored between 180 and 200 runs, it could have been a close match,” he added.

Anuj, another fan, also expressed his disappointment over LSG’s sixth consecutive loss at home. “Watching the team’s performance was not enjoyable at all,” he remarked. Another supporter agreed, stating that the LSG batsmen struggled against the Gujarat bowlers. After losing the toss, LSG batted first, managing only 164 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. No batsman reached a half-century, with Aiden Markram top-scoring at 30 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant once again underperformed, scoring just 18 runs, while Nicholas Pooran fell for 19 runs, becoming a victim of Prasidh Krishna.

The Gujarat Titans chased down the target of 165 runs with ease, losing only 3 wickets in 18.4 overs. Shubman Gill showcased his talent with a strong innings of 56 runs off 40 balls. Jos Buttler also contributed significantly, scoring 60 runs off 37 balls. Washington Sundar remained unbeaten at 21 runs from 13 balls, while Sai Sudharsan added 15 runs.
