Li Qiang Chairs Executive Meeting of the State Council in China

Beijing, April 18: Chinese Premier Li Qiang chaired an executive meeting of the State Council on April 17. The meeting focused on reports regarding the establishment of free trade zones and reviewed draft amendments to the implementation regulations of China’s administrative reconsideration law.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, each free trade zone has actively explored ways to deepen reforms, expand openness, and promote development. This has led to unprecedented and pioneering results, effectively serving as a comprehensive experimental platform. In light of new circumstances and tasks, it is essential to further advance the strategy for upgrading free trade zones, improve systems and mechanisms, optimize layouts, and elevate standards to contribute better to the country’s overall development.

The meeting emphasized that administrative reconsideration is a crucial system for effectively resolving administrative disputes and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the public and enterprises. The newly revised regulations have refined relevant provisions of the administrative reconsideration law, promoting concrete resolutions of administrative disputes within the system. Various sectors and departments are urged to implement these regulations diligently.
