New Delhi, August 10: On the birth anniversary of Dr. V.V. Giri, the former President of India and recipient of the Bharat Ratna, several leaders, including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Manohar Lal, and Congress leaders, paid their respects.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed his heartfelt tribute on X, stating, “On the birth anniversary of Dr. V.V. Giri, a Bharat Ratna awardee, I pay my homage. Dr. Giri dedicated his public life to the rights of workers, laborers, and marginalized sections of society. His simple personality, strong convictions, and unwavering loyalty to the nation inspire us all.”
Union Minister Manohar Lal also shared his tribute on X, saying, “I respectfully pay homage to the freedom fighter and former President, Bharat Ratna V.V. Giri, on his birth anniversary. Your unique contributions to social welfare and national upliftment will always be remembered.”
