Kuldeep Yadavs Emotional Farewell from Delhi Capitals: Parth Jindals Tribute

New Delhi, June 23: Indian cricket star Kuldeep Yadav, a prominent left-arm spinner, will be seen playing for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the upcoming IPL season. This transition comes as part of a trade between Delhi Capitals (DC) and LSG, where Rishabh Pant moves from LSG to DC, while Kuldeep makes the opposite switch. Following Kuldeep’s departure from DC, team co-owner Parth Jindal penned an emotional message for him.

Jindal expressed on social media, “Dear Kuldeep, thank you for your service to Delhi Capitals over the past five years. You have been a vital part of our team, and you will be greatly missed. Do well; you are a champion player, and I am confident you will excel on your home ground.”

He added, “Rishabh, Kiran and I are both happy to have you back at DC. We hope you find your best form at home in Delhi.”

Kuldeep Yadav has been with Delhi Capitals since IPL 2022, where he played a total of 65 matches and took 72 wickets. Joining LSG marks a new chapter for Kuldeep, as he has yet to play for his home team. This will be his third franchise in the IPL, following his time with Kolkata Knight Riders before DC.

Rishabh Pant’s return to DC is a homecoming for him, as he has been part of the team from 2016 to 2024, serving as captain from 2021 to 2024. Pant has played 111 matches for DC, leading the team in 43 of those, with a record of 23 wins.

Before IPL 2025, Pant was released by DC and was acquired by LSG for a record ₹27 crores during the mega auction, where he was appointed captain. However, his performance as captain and batsman with LSG has been disappointing. Pant has rejoined DC at a reduced salary of ₹15 crores, down from ₹27 crores, while Kuldeep has signed with LSG for ₹13.5 crores, maintaining his previous fee.
