New Delhi, March 24: Renowned Kannada actor and producer Rockline Venkatesh visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, on Tuesday. He offered prayers and performed rituals dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (Balaji).
Dressed in traditional attire, Venkatesh participated in the temple’s special service, ‘Asthala Ashtadala Padapadmaradhana’. He devotedly engaged in the worship, and after his visit, temple officials presented him with a beautiful silk shawl, a symbol of the temple’s blessings.
The ‘Asthala Ashtadala Padapadmaradhana’ service is held every Tuesday between 6 and 7 AM, featuring a ceremonial worship of Lord Venkateswara. Devotees not only get to see the deity but also partake in this unique ritual, which includes the chanting of mantras and the offering of 108 golden lotuses at the feet of Lord Srinivasa.
This tradition began in 1984 during the golden jubilee year of TTD, following the offering of golden lotuses by a Muslim devotee. To participate in this service, online booking through the TTD website or a special entry ticket is required.
Rockline Venkatesh is active in the Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam film industries. He operates under his company, Rockline Entertainment, and has produced major films such as “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” “Lingaa,” “Villain” (Malayalam), “Katra” (Kannada), “Natasaarvabhowma,” “Mourya,” and “Ajay.” He gained significant popularity from “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and began his film career in 1987 as a stuntman and supporting actor.
Venkatesh portrayed a police officer in “Killing Veerappan” (2016) and has taken on special roles in several films, including “Vardanayaka.”
