Kamal Haasan Urges Tamil Nadu Voters to Make Informed Choices in Upcoming Elections

New Delhi, April 21: Actor and politician Kamal Haasan has made a heartfelt appeal to the public regarding the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He urged citizens to exercise their democratic rights and vote wisely.

Voting for the Tamil Nadu elections is scheduled for April 23. In a video posted on the social media platform ‘X’, Haasan emphasized the importance of preserving the Tamil language and the identity of Tamil Nadu. He encouraged voters to arrive early at polling booths to cast their votes.

In the video, Haasan stated, “Greetings to all voters in Tamil Nadu with a voter ID. I speak to you as a resident of Tamil Nadu who cares about our language. This election is not just about one party; it represents a choice between the South and the North. It will determine whether Tamil Nadu’s future will be decided in Chennai or dictated from Delhi.”

Haasan praised the achievements of the Tamil Nadu government over the past five years, noting that the state excels in various sectors. He commended the Dravidian model and expressed confidence that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is once again fit to lead the state.

He highlighted the accomplishments of the DMK party, stating that history proves it can protect Tamil Nadu’s rights. He referenced influential leaders, saying, “Periyar gave us self-respect, Anna gave it a political voice, and Kalaignar defended Tamil identity with his wisdom.”

Haasan further remarked, “Today, Stalin is the guardian of federalist thinking. Different leaders, different eras, but the slogan remains the same—Tamil and Tamil Nadu will never bow down.”

He stressed the importance of continuing welfare schemes and strengthening Tamil Nadu on a global scale. Haasan called on voters to cast their ballots in favor of the rising sun symbol, urging them to fulfill their democratic duty early on election day, April 23. He advised everyone to make informed decisions without bias when voting.
