Jaipur, July 31 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team in Bundi has arrested a junior clerk (reader) and a contractual computer operator from the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) in Lakheri, Bundi district, while accepting a bribe of ₹35,000.

According to the ACB, the accused demanded a bribe in exchange for ensuring a favourable decision in a land compensation case related to the Bharatmala road project.
Bribe Demanded to Settle Land Compensation Claim
Additional Director General of ACB, Smita Srivastava, stated that the complainant had submitted a claim at the SDM office in Lakheri to receive compensation for their own land acquired under the Bharatmala road project. Junior Clerk (Reader) Karmveer Singh Hada allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹50,000 to ensure the decision of the claim was made in favour of the complainant.
Based on this complaint, a trap was laid under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Harish Bharti.
Caught Red-Handed Accepting ₹35,000
During the trap operation, contractual computer operator Shiv Mahesh Yogi, working in the SDM office, was caught red-handed while accepting ₹35,000 as part of the bribe amount on behalf of Karmveer Singh Hada. Both individuals have been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
