Aligarh, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is taking significant steps to expand opportunities in higher education. A letter of intent has been issued for the establishment of the proposed Sai Global University in Aligarh. This initiative aims to provide quality and employment-oriented education to the youth in the region.

Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay presented the letter to representatives of the sponsoring organization, Om Shri Sai Education Committee, at his official residence in Lucknow. The letter was issued under Section 6 of the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019, following approval from the competent authority.

The Yogi government is focused on strengthening the infrastructure for higher education in the state. It aims to establish a better coordination between education and employment for the youth. By encouraging private sector participation, the government hopes to expand higher education institutions across various regions, providing students with quality educational options closer to home.

The proposed Sai Global University is expected to offer additional opportunities for higher and vocational education to students in Aligarh and surrounding areas. This development could enhance educational facilities in the region and support the academic aspirations of local youth.

Minister Upadhyay emphasized that under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the government is committed to providing world-class, quality, and employment-oriented higher education to youth near their hometowns. He noted that the government is making the process for private sector investment more transparent and accessible, aiming to develop a robust ecosystem for higher education in the state. He instructed the sponsoring organization to fulfill all necessary standards and conditions within the specified timeframe to proceed with the next steps.

According to the issued letter of intent, the Om Shri Sai Education Committee must meet mandatory requirements under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019, within the next two years. Afterward, the organization will need to submit a compliance report to the government. The further establishment processes for the university will follow legal provisions and conditions accordingly.
