Sai Global University Planned in Aligarh to Enhance Higher Education Opportunities
The Uttar Pradesh government has issued a letter of intent for the establishment of Sai Global University in Aligarh, boosting higher education prospects.
Aligarh, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government is taking significant steps to expand higher education opportunities and provide quality, job-oriented education to its youth. A letter of intent has been issued for the establishment of the proposed Sai Global University in Aligarh, aimed at developing new avenues for higher and vocational education in the region.
Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay presented the letter to representatives of the sponsoring organization, Om Sri Sai Education Committee, at his official residence in Lucknow. This letter was issued under Section 6 of the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019, following the approval of competent authorities.
The Yogi government is focused on strengthening the infrastructure for higher education in the state while enhancing the coordination between education and employment for young people. To achieve this, private sector participation is being encouraged, enabling the expansion of higher education institutions across various regions, and providing students with better academic options close to their homes.
The establishment of Sai Global University is expected to offer additional opportunities for higher and vocational education to students in Aligarh and surrounding areas. This initiative could significantly enhance educational facilities in the region and help fulfill the academic aspirations of local youth.
Minister Upadhyay emphasized the commitment of the state government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, to provide world-class, quality, and job-oriented higher education to young people near their home areas. He noted that the government is making the process for private sector investment more transparent and accessible, aiming to develop an excellent ecosystem for higher education in the state.
According to the issued letter of intent, the sponsoring organization, Om Sri Sai Education Committee, must meet the required conditions under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019, within the next two years. Following this, the organization will need to present a compliance report to the government. The subsequent establishment of the university will proceed in accordance with the stipulated legal provisions and conditions.
