New Delhi, June 25: The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) has announced job openings for junior faculty and academic support staff at its Hyderabad campus. This recruitment aims to meet the academic needs of the ‘School of Leather Goods and Accessories Design’ and the ‘School of Retail and Fashion Merchandising.’ These positions will be filled on an ad-hoc basis.
The available vacancies include one Junior Faculty position in Leather Goods and Accessories Design, one Junior Lab Assistant in the School of Leather Goods and Accessories Design, and one Junior Lab Assistant in the School of Fashion Design.
The online application process commenced on June 24, and candidates have 15 days from the date of the advertisement to apply. Interested applicants can visit the official FDDI website, click on the notification link for the respective positions, and submit their registration form along with their CV by scanning the application link or QR code provided.
For the Junior Lab Assistant (School of Fashion Design) position, candidates must have completed at least the 8th grade from a recognized institution or board, with preference given to those who have completed the 10th grade.
Candidates applying for the Junior Lab Assistant (School of Leather Goods and Accessories Design) must have completed at least the 12th grade from a recognized institution or university.
To qualify for the Junior Faculty position in Leather Goods and Accessories Design, candidates must hold a Master’s degree or PG diploma in design, leather design, apparel design, garment manufacturing technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, all candidates must have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience and meet other specified eligibility criteria.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 35 years. Selection will be based on academic qualifications, experience, shortlisting, interviews/skill tests, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹50,000 for the Junior Faculty position and ₹30,000 for the Junior Lab Assistant position, along with additional benefits and allowances.
