Opposition Protest in Mumbai Falls Flat, Claims BJP Leader Ram Kadam

BJPs Ram Kadam criticizes the oppositions protest in Mumbai, citing low turnout and questioning political motivations.

Mumbai, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : The protest organized by opposition parties in Mumbai received a lukewarm response, with only 15 to 20 attendees, according to BJP leader Ram Kadam. He directed his criticism at Congress, Rahul Gandhi, and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray, suggesting that the event’s poor turnout reflects a lack of support for their political agendas.

Speaking to a news agency, Kadam stated that a foundation built on sand cannot endure, likening the opposition’s efforts to a failing cause. He noted that other organizations are distancing themselves from Congress, asserting that the truth cannot remain hidden indefinitely.

Kadam questioned Thackeray’s political stance and the influence of his advisors, suggesting that Thackeray might be supporting a party accused of inciting unrest and violence in India. He referenced turmoil in neighboring countries such as Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, asking if Thackeray would endorse those who promote similar chaos in India.

Additionally, Kadam criticized Rahul Gandhi, pointing out that a judge from the Supreme Court had asked Gandhi to submit evidence supporting his allegations against the Election Commission within seven days. He challenged Gandhi to present concrete examples and proof of his claims in public, emphasizing that he has failed to do so.

Regarding the protest by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP), Kadam questioned why they chose to demonstrate at Jantar Mantar when alternative locations were offered for safety reasons. He raised concerns about whether political leaders believe they are above the law and the Constitution.

Kadam asserted that the law applies equally to everyone and that protesting against legal arrests is inappropriate. He accused some leaders of attempting to disrupt the political climate under the guise of protest, reiterating that no individual or organization should be considered above the law.
