NDA Confident of Winning All Eight Seats in Bihars MLC Elections, Says Sanjay Jha

Sanjay Jha expresses confidence in NDAs victory in Bihars MLC elections, highlighting strong local support for their candidates.

Patna, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Bihar’s legislative council elections are heating up as Sanjay Kumar Jha, the acting national president of the Janata Dal (United) or JD(U), expressed strong confidence in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) winning all eight contested seats. This includes two crucial seats in Patna.

Jha emphasized that their party’s candidates are expected to secure victory by a significant margin, particularly citing the positive feedback from voters regarding JD(U) candidate Neeraj Kumar’s previous term. He also noted that the other candidate, Naval Yadav, is likely to win with a substantial vote share.

Addressing a controversial statement made by JD(U) MLA Anant Singh, Jha confirmed that Singh had provided clarification following his remarks. He assured that the party’s state leadership is fully aware of the situation and is monitoring developments closely.

In response to Singh’s claims regarding involvement in multiple murders, Jha reiterated that the party has received an explanation from Singh and that the state unit is informed about the matter. He also criticized the Congress party, suggesting it has strayed from its moderate roots, and called for scrutiny of its current alliances and past records.

Jha accused certain elements of attempting to instigate chaos and political crises in the country due to a lack of public support. He asserted that in a democracy, it is the prerogative of the people to choose their representatives and government, and no individual or group has the right to impose their ideology on the public.

He further commented on the Election Commission‘s role, stating that the process of updating the voter list is essential for maintaining its integrity. This includes removing names of deceased individuals or those who have relocated, ensuring that no one is registered in multiple locations, and eliminating names of those not recognized as citizens under the constitution.
