Lucknow, September 3: Following the appointment of Air Marshal (Retired) Jitendra Mishra as CEO of the Ayodhya Ram Temple Trust, political reactions have begun to surface. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana welcomed this decision.
Mahana stated, “The entire nation has entrusted the responsibility of serving the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple to a person who has dedicated his entire life to the service of the country. He is a former marshal who played a crucial role in Operation Sindoor. Hinduism teaches us to remain devoted to the service of Mother India. Lord Ram, the epitome of virtue, stated that mother and motherland are greater than heaven. Our birthplace is more beautiful than heaven.”
He emphasized that placing the management of the temple in the hands of an experienced and patriotic officer will enhance transparency and strengthen the administration.
In response to the opposition’s claims that this appointment is a form of damage control following the incident of donations being stolen from the temple, Speaker Mahana countered, “It is unfortunate that such a theft occurred. An SIT was formed to investigate the matter, and those found responsible have been punished. Anyone involved in the theft should face consequences. However, institutions should not be targeted due to the actions of a few individuals. The Trust filed a complaint, and the government took cognizance of the matter. Action has been taken against those found guilty, and they are now in jail.”
Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, BJP state president Ramchandra Rao also endorsed this appointment, stating, “The changes in Ayodhya and the appointments made by the Trust have been executed very well. I believe the ongoing debate regarding Ayodhya will soon come to an end, and administrative matters will be handled effectively.”
