Ranchi, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : The Jharkhand High Court has taken a firm stance regarding technical difficulties faced by candidates in downloading response sheets and answer keys for the Secondary Teacher Appointment Examination. The court has directed an IT expert from the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) to appear at the next hearing.
During the proceedings, presided over by Justice Deepak Roshan, the court addressed a petition filed by Vikas Pandey and others. Their lawyer, Chanchal Jain, informed the court that after taking the exam, candidates attempted to access their response sheets and answer keys through the JSSC’s official website using their email IDs and passwords. However, they encountered a message stating, “User does not exist.”
This issue has prevented candidates from obtaining their response sheets and answer keys, hindering their ability to verify their answers and potential scores. According to Jain, the JSSC has already submitted an affidavit in response to the petition. The commission suggested that the error message might have resulted from candidates incorrectly entering their email IDs or passwords.
To address the technical situation directly, the court has instructed JSSC’s computer and IT specialists to attend the next hearing. Candidates have also been asked to bring their email IDs and passwords to log in and assess the reasons behind the downloading issues.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for October 13, where the presence of experts will facilitate a thorough investigation into the matter.
