The Jamalpur–Howrah Vande Bharat Express, under the Eastern Railway zone, will be officially flagged off today, 16 August. This new semi high-speed train is an extension of the Bhagalpur–Howrah Vande Bharat Express. Regular operations will commence from 17 August. Covering a distance of 441 kilometres, the Jamalpur–Howrah Vande Bharat Express will complete the journey in 6 hours and 35 minutes, making it the fastest train on this route. The train will run with numbers 22310/22309 and operate six days a week, except Fridays.

Train Timings and Stops

The 22310 Jamalpur–Howrah Vande Bharat Express will depart from Jamalpur at 3:30 PM and reach Howrah Junction at 10:05 PM.

The 22309 Howrah–Jamalpur Vande Bharat Express will leave Howrah at 7:45 AM and arrive at Jamalpur Junction at 2:15 PM.
During its journey from Jamalpur to Howrah, the train will halt at eight stations: Bhagalpur, Barahat, Mandar Hill, Hansdiha, Noniat, Dumka, Rampurhat, and Bolpur Shantiniketan.
Coach Composition and Seating
The train consists of 8 coaches: one Executive Chair Car (EC) and seven Chair Cars (CC). It has a total seating capacity for 590 passengers, with 44 seats in the EC coach and 546 in the Chair Cars.
