New Delhi, March 15: Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has reported a significant update regarding its operations against Iran. On Sunday, Israel claimed to have destroyed a drone storage facility in Iran during airstrikes.
The IAF asserted that the attack resulted in substantial losses for Iran, including the loss of some of its soldiers.
According to the IAF, this operation was executed based on intelligence information. The drone storage site was located within a launch site in western Iran.
Following the attack, chaos ensued among the Iranian soldiers present at the site. Israeli fighter jets tracked and targeted soldiers fleeing for cover after the strike.
The IAF shared on its official social media account, “Special information from western Iran: Under the ongoing operations in the region, the IDF conducted an airstrike on a drone storage facility established within a launch site in western Iran, based on precise and real-time intelligence. After the attack on the storage site, the air force identified Iranian soldiers fleeing from the launch site. Subsequently, our aircraft tracked them and eliminated them in separate strikes.”
Continuous attacks have inflicted heavy casualties on Iran. According to figures released by Iran, the U.S.-Israeli strikes have resulted in the deaths of 202 children and 223 women.
A statement from Iran’s Ministry of Health indicated that at least 202 children and 223 women, including three pregnant women, have been killed in the U.S.-Israeli attacks.
In an interview with the Al-Araby Al-Jadeed website, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran is in discussions with Gulf countries and welcomes any initiative that guarantees an end to the U.S.-Israeli conflict against Iran.
Araghchi emphasized that Iran has not targeted civilians or residential areas in the Middle East. He mentioned that Tehran is prepared to form a committee with its neighbors to determine who is responsible for such attacks.
