Tehran, March 7: Iran’s President Masoud Pajeshkian has asserted that the United States’ desire to force Tehran into unconditional surrender is merely a dream that will remain unfulfilled until the end of time. His statement was broadcast on state television.
On Saturday, Pajeshkian emphasized that the U.S. demand for unconditional surrender is a notion they should take to their graves. This remark follows former President Trump’s threat on Friday, stating that any agreement would only be possible after Iran surrenders without conditions.
Additionally, Pajeshkian made significant comments regarding attacks on Gulf countries. He stated that Iran will not launch attacks on neighboring nations unless they are provoked by assaults from those countries. According to Iranian media, this decision has been approved by the country’s interim leadership council.
He expressed that Iran does not wish to escalate tensions with these nations and will strive to avoid such attacks in the future.
Pajeshkian’s remarks come on the eighth day of the ongoing conflict between the U.S.-Israel alliance and Iran. Since the conflict began on February 28, Iran has targeted over ten countries in the Middle East, including Israel.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have targeted an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf using a drone. According to the Tasnim news agency, the IRGC stated that the tanker, named Prima, was struck after ignoring repeated warnings from their navy. These warnings indicated that movement in the Strait of Hormuz was restricted and that the area was unsafe.
