Iran Launches Missile Strikes on Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Hundreds Injured

Tel Aviv, March 22: Iran has intensified its missile attacks on Israel, targeting not only the capital, Tel Aviv, but also the key nuclear facility in Dimona. On Saturday, Iranian missiles struck the cities of Dimona and Arad, causing significant destruction. By Sunday morning, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were also under threat, with state media reporting the launch of four ballistic missiles.

According to The Times of Israel, over 300 people have been injured in these attacks, including children, as confirmed by the Israeli Foreign Ministry and health services. The Magen David Adom health organization reported that injuries resulted from cluster bombs falling in the area.

Reports indicate that more than 100 individuals were injured in Dimona and Arad. Israeli Army Radio stated that 150 of the injured were hospitalized at Soroka Hospital following the attacks. In Arad, 84 people were admitted, with 10 in serious condition.

Iran’s state television described the Dimona attack as a “strong response” to an Israeli strike on the Natanz nuclear facility. Earlier, Iran’s nuclear energy organization confirmed that the Natanz enrichment site was targeted, but there were no reports of radioactive leakage.

Images have surfaced showing homes and streets devastated by the attacks. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Hamas’s military wing, Abu Obaida, justified the missile strikes on Dimona and Arad, stating that they were not only a response to American aggression but also a consequence of Israeli actions against Palestinians in Gaza.

These attacks from Iran have escalated following threats from former U.S. President Donald Trump, who warned on social media that if the Strait of Hormuz was not fully opened within 48 hours, the U.S. would strike Iran’s power plants, starting with the largest facility. In response, Iran warned that if its power plants were targeted, it would retaliate against all energy infrastructures linked to the U.S. and Israel in the Middle East.
